A Letter of Invitation from our Mayor

To the Citizens of Loganville,
Our festive holiday season is upon us and I would like to invite you to our Christmastime events.
On November 25th, I invite you to assist me with the city tree lighting at Loganville City Hall at 6:00pm. Join us from 6:00pm to 8:00pm while we enjoy cookies and hot drinks, holiday music, and train rides. Santa will welcome all who come, as he sits in his sleigh. Every boy and girl will be able to visit with Santa, and have a complimentary photo taken. Your picture will be e-mailed to you after the event.
On December 3rd I ask all our citizens to line Main Street and Highway 20 down to Bay Creek Elementary. Come out at 5:30pm as the Loganville Christmas Parade hosts a spectacular parade of lights. Enjoy the holiday event as the parade participants bring you their holiday cheer “Through the Eyes of a Child”.
Thank you for your continued support as Mayor and I look forward to serving you during my next two years in the City of Loganville, “Where People Matter”.

Loganville's 3rd Annual Tree Lighting Event Friday, November 25th at 6:PM
The 3rd Annual Tree Lighting Event is happening this Friday night at City Hall!!

On November 25th, Loganville is hosting its 3rd annual tree lighting event on the front lawn of City Hall. At 6:00pm Santa will arrive via the American Legion's Forty and Eight train. Mayor Nunley will light the Loganville Tree with the help of all the children. Complimentary hot drinks and tasty cookies will be served by the Loganville Woman's Club. Santa will sit for a while in his sleigh, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, visiting with each boy and girl. His camera crew will be set up to capture the moment with digital photos. Pictures will be e-mailed to the families after the event at absolutely no charge. Volunteers will help children with writing their letters to Santa, handing out activities and sharing holiday cheer. Holiday music will delight the ears of all who attend. Over the two hours of the event's duration, approximately 750 people delve into the holiday spirit. It's a wonderful time to kick off the holiday season and enjoy community fellowship. Adults and children alike will tilt their heads up toward the sky and, in wonderment, watch snow fall down around them. There will be snow falling down at Loganville's Tree Lighting! For those who may not have ever attended, they will enjoy a great holiday event in which they can keep their wallets at home. Visitors will feel the warm camaraderie of a wonderful community, the City of Loganville, "Where People Matter".
Michelle Lynch, City Councilwoman and Event Coordinator: "I wish to thank our incredible sponsors who help bring such a great event to our City. For 2011, the City of Loganville wishes to extend gratitude to Athens First Bank & Trust, SunTrust Bank, The Walton Tribune, Loganville Woman's Club, Golden Productions and all our volunteers. The event is also made possible by our great City Employees as well. They deserve the accolades received by all who attend and enjoy. My greatest joy is when I look into the crowd and see wide eyes and enormous smiles. I enjoy seeing all the children have an opportunity to share a special moment with Santa at the base of the City's beautifully lit tree. I look forward to spending time with my friends in the City of Loganville."
