• Amici Italian Cafe in Downtown Monroe is a great place to watch the GA Bulldogs game this afternoon (kickoff is at 12:20PM) and they have a big screen projector ready to go along w/all kinds of menu deals!

• Today is Heritage Day at the William Harris Homestead in Monroe. They'll be celebrating until 4:PM and will have all kinds of fun activities for the kids including hayrides, face painting and a petting zoo. Admission fees can be viewed here.

• Singer Michael Moore will be performing tonight at Time Well Spent Coffee in Loganville. While you're there, try a Pumpkin Pie Latte!

Time Well Spent Coffee's Grand Opening!

Today I enjoyed an early afternoon celebration at Time Well Spent Coffee's Grand Opening!

Included in the laid back festivities were shuffleboard contests, door prizes, lunch and pastry samples and Coffee Trivia with owner John Judge. We were also treated to humorous stories by Author and Speaker Cathy Lee Phillips.

Door prizes included various coffees and teas, coffee brewers and cups, and local hand-made jewelry.

What I learned during John's Coffee Trivia:

• The United States consumes the most coffee as a nation! Wow!

• Coffee was first discovered in Ethiopia!

• A 12-ounce cup of coffee has more caffeine in it than a shot of espresso does!
