FAIL? Loganville Citizens Advisory Committee

Just what is the election about?
Walton Tribune - Monroe,GA,USA
By Sharon Swanepoel

"So how about cutting out a lot of the hype
and having some real conversations about not
just that the candidates are going to fix the
problems — but how they are going to go
about doing it.

The Loganville Citizens’ Advisory Committee
was established with one very simple rule —
if you bring an idea to the table, you have to
have the plan in place on how to go about
implementing it as well as how to pay for it.

And look what we got out of that concept
— the Fourth of July Parade.

Minister Concerned That Tax Masquerades as Fee

Reverend Don Richards of Corinth Baptist Church in Loganville believes that churches should be exempted from the new stormwater utility fee. He feels that the new Gwinnett County fee is really equivalent to a tax (the check needs to be made payable to the Gwinnett County Tax Commissioner for example) and therefore churches should not have to pay it. According to the county, the fee is not a tax.
