4th of July Safety Tips (from the kids!)

This morning's breakfast table topic is 4th of July Safety. Here are some tips my children would like to share:

• Don't hold an umbrella over someone shooting off a bottle rocket (this safety tip is intended for my Dad and Uncle)

• Don't put a sparkler under your armpits

• Please don't try to eat the fireworks

• Don't place unused fireworks in the washer or dryer (remember to empty your pockets!)

• Eat watermelon (this is considered 'safe')

• Avoid flatulence around lit fireworks - failure to do so could be chaotic

• Please don't bring your dinosaur to the festivities - he may get angry at the fireworks.

• Don't put any firecrackers in your cereal

• Please don't flush any fireworks down the toilet

• Please don't feed fireworks to a Sumo Wrestler
