A 'Bizy Mommy' inspires her young son's entrepreneurship

In today's world, the average parent has to balance full-time work with raising their children. Included in trying to keep this balance are extra-curricular activities, homework, science projects and hosting sleepovers. Somehow in between all of this the bills need to be paid. Entrepreneurship isn't listed in any of those, but it ought to be! Tiffany Wong, AKA 'The Bizy Mommy', is an encouragement to busy parents trying to make ends meet while enjoying quality time with the kids. Take a look at her website and you'll see what I mean.

...But, I digress -- there's jelly involved here, you know!

During last year's Snellville Farmers Market, I tried (and fell in love with) the White Zinfandel jelly from Saucy Spirits. I noticed her son was 'in charge' of the stand and had a very brief conversation with Tiffany about how hard she and her son worked to make sure fresh jars of jelly were ready for the booth that morning.

This year's SFM is underway again and the first thing I looked for when I went this past Saturday was, you guessed it- my beloved White Zinfandel jelly. You know I bought a jar! After raving about it on twitter, I discovered thru a reply tweet from @TheBizzyMommy that the young man (age 11!) who sold me my Saucy Spirits on Saturday was not only the booth operator but was also the producer of this fine product! (See the Lawrenceville Patch article here)

I exchanged a few more tweets with this fabulous Mom of 6 children (@TheBizyMommy), found her website on her profile and discovered that she has found that special balance I referred to in the beginning of this story. There's more than jelly here, you see...happy kids receiving inspiration and encouragement from an entrepreneurial-spirited Mom.

I'm happy to have the inspiration--and the jelly!
