Sneak peek at new Loganville home food delivery service

There will be a new restaurant delivery service in Loganville soon. It is called Food Runners, and they will deliver orders for several different restaurants in the 30052 zip code. Unfortunately, their website is not completely ready yet, but from what I can tell, you will click on the restaurant you would like to order from, then a menu will come up with prices. Then just click the name of the item to add it to your shopping cart.

Coat in Toilet

At the Loganville GA bar called Atmosphere (it's @mosphere on the sign out front) a lady reported to police that her coat was stolen. Her coat was recovered from inside a toilet tank in the bathroom (probably pretty soggy) and her keys were gone. If the lady is reading this, it's probably a good idea to change the locks at your house in case whoever has the keys knows where you live!

Teen kills parents in Loganville GA

Sad news to report today. In Loganville, police have charged a college student with two counts of murder in the beating deaths of his parents. Joshua Spearman, 18, was held without bail after Darryl Spearman, 55, and Cherri Spearman, 52, were found dead in their home Friday.
The father, Darryl Spearman was an Assistant Principal at Stone Mountain Middle School.

ChildCare Facility for Loganville Denied

The proposal for a child care center at the intersection of Rosebud Road and Brushy Forks in Loganville has been declined, due to concerns about the area being kept residentially zoned. There were also concerns about the intersection already being dangerous, and that a day care center would make it worse.

I wonder, why not fix whatever's wrong with the intersection?

I think parents have a need of daycare, and the more choices in daycare, then the better the daycares must be to compete with each other. When there is a lack of day care options, then parents just have to settle for whatever they can get. I don't think there is enough day care in the area now, and I am a person who is generally against daycare situations for kids. I think the parents should be home with the child, but it's unfortunately a reality of life that people can't all afford to do that.

So we will have less choices in quality day care for our children, and the writer of the article in the Loganville Tribune is happy about that. I'm just shaking my head at the short sightedness of it all. LINK

Two bodies discovered in house in Loganville

Two people were found dead in Loganville GA - a man and a woman in their 50's and 60's.
A family member found their bodies in their house on Memory Lane in Loganville. The deaths are considered to be suspicious at press time.
